i was there the same time you guys were. i remember seeing that thing. sweet ride and awesome time up at tyax! props to dale the pilot for the hook ups! Friends

Searchmont is basically dead... It's 40km outta town... I'm talking to Garden River because I built a few trails out there and they get a lot of action and are way closer to town. They don't have 400m of cleared hill to play with, but there are a few big hills out there...

It'll be in one piece in a week or two tops. I'm moving further north, slightly closer to the shore, but still far away. Can't wait for summer riding, or winter riding perhaps

No theres not really a scene at all, mostly XC and roadies. There is a younger thing goin on with dirtjumps thanks to one of the new shops opening up here, but nothing has really set off yet. Me and some friends had searchmont on the hook until they decided we should use our own money, so that was a fail, least I got to ride some stuff there for a while before everyone stopped talking to them. Bellevue got old fast too as theres strickly no building allowed there thanks to another bike shop that opend up and has the rights to it as it's used for the soo cycling club, who think biking revolves around spandex, lap time, and clip ins. Theres only a few of us into gravity here, and they're all slowly giving it up.
